Fraud Prevention Service

First United Bank has a Fraud Center that monitors debit card transactions 24/7 and you may receive an email, text or phone call to verify transactions. Our Fraud Center phone number is 800-237-8990* and can be saved to your phone contacts for future reference. Our Fraud Center will only attempt to call customers between 8am & 9pm. *This number is only used to verify transactions on a debit card not for reporting a card lost/stolen. REMEMBER – Our Fraud Center will never ask for the customers PIN or account number and will only ask for the zip code.

We’re enhancing security on your debit card!

In our continuing efforts to keep your accounts secure, we’ve improved our alert system for potential fraud and you are automatically enrolled.

Here’s how it works:

  • When suspicious activity is detected, you will receive an automatic email notification with the option to reply with “FRAUD” or “NO FRAUD.”
  • If there is no response from the email, you will receive a text alert, from "Fraud Center" which also has the “FRAUD” or “NO FRAUD” option. 
  • If there is no response from the text, you will then receive a phone  call from our Fraud Center to confirm or deny fraud. The  call will also give you the option of speaking to a fraud analyst.

Remember – we will never ask for your PIN or account number.

The phone number for our Fraud Center has changed to 1-800-237-8990. If you add this number to your phone contacts and label it “Fraud Center,” it will display on your phone whenever you get a call from this number.
